This map has been created by The Detail using figures requested from Department of Justice. It shows the geographical breakdown of convictions by court house across Northern Ireland of defendants found guilty of at least one charge relating to driving under the influence of drink or drugs. The data is collated on the principal offence rule: only the offence which attracted the most serious disposal for which an offender is convicted is included. Court appearances relate to where the offence occurred rather than where the defendant lives. Click on the pins to find out how many convictions there were in each court house in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
